Motorola Razr 70 Ultra: First Official Renders and Specs Leak

High-quality, seemingly official renders of the upcoming Motorola Razr 70 Ultra foldable smartphone have started circulating in tech circles. According to the latest leaks from verified industry sources, Motorola has opted for a strategy of subtle evolution rather than a radical redesign this year, focusing primarily on improving internal components, battery life, and smart features.

Familiar Design with Minor Physical Tweaks

Judging by the published CAD renders, the visual identity of the Razr 70 Ultra remains almost identical to last year’s model. The device retains its recognizable clamshell format, a spacious 4-inch cover display that wraps around the camera module, and a 7-inch inner foldable screen. Rounded metal frames and a textured back panel are present once again, ensuring an elegant aesthetic.

However, two key physical changes in the design are visible. The first is the addition of an entirely new, dedicated “Moto AI” button located on the left edge of the upper half, clearly indicating Motorola’s increased focus on integrating artificial intelligence within the new operating system. The right side retains the standard volume rockers and power button.

The second change relates to the dimensions. Leaked data suggests that the Razr 70 Ultra will be slightly thicker when unfolded, measuring 7.8 millimeters (compared to 7.2 mm on the Razr 60 Ultra), while the thickness in the folded state will be 15.8 millimeters.

Increased Autonomy and Powerful Hardware

The slightly thicker chassis profile is directly linked to the most anticipated upgrade—an increase in battery capacity. Industry sources state that the Razr 70 Ultra will be equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery, representing a tangible increase compared to last year’s 4,700 mAh. This change should address the standard pain points of foldable devices and provide users with a more comfortable all-day usage experience. Wired charging speeds will reportedly remain at the standard 68W.

When it comes to performance, the device is expected to feature the latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor paired with 16 GB of RAM. In the optics department, a dual 50-megapixel camera system is expected once again on the cover display, with no indications of drastic changes in sensor technology compared to its predecessor.

The device will hit the market with the pre-installed Hello UI, based on the Android 16 operating system. Although the official launch date has not yet been confirmed, the release of these renders suggests that Motorola could soon officially unveil the next generation of its most popular foldable phone.
