HMD Vibe 2 Max Specs Leaked: 108MP Camera, 256GB Storage, and a Massive Battery

by · Nokiamob

HMD is actively expanding its smartphone portfolio, with fresh leaks indicating the imminent arrival of a new premium device in its Vibe 2 series. Dubbed the HMD Vibe 2 Max, the unannounced smartphone promises significant optical and processing upgrades over the recently launched Vibe 2 Pro 5G, positioning it as the new top-end option in the lineup.

Reliable tech tipster @smashx_60 recently shared detailed renders and a comprehensive specification sheet on X, painting a clear picture of what consumers can expect from HMD’s next release.

A Familiar Face with More Firepower

While the Vibe 2 Max shares the same 6.78-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display—complete with a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 1,500 nits—as its Pro sibling, the internal hardware tells a different story. The leak points to a shift in silicon, with the Max model reportedly utilizing a Unisoc T9100 processor clocked at 2.7GHz. This is a notable pivot from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 found in the Vibe 2 Pro 5G.

Memory configurations are also getting a substantial bump. The Vibe 2 Max is expected to feature 8GB of RAM paired with 256GB of internal storage, effectively doubling the maximum storage capacity offered on the current Pro model.

A Generational Leap in Photography

The most dramatic enhancements arrive in the camera department. The leaked spec sheet reveals a formidable 108-megapixel primary sensor flanked by an 8-megapixel secondary lens. Content creators will benefit from a massive 50-megapixel front-facing camera. Furthermore, the Vibe 2 Max will unlock 4K video recording at 30fps—a major step up from the Vibe 2 Pro 5G, which is capped at a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 13-megapixel selfie shooter, and 1080p video resolution.

Endurance and Connectivity

Powering the upgraded hardware is a robust 6,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, carrying over the excellent endurance rating of its predecessor. The device will ship with Android 16 out of the box. Additional premium features include an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance, Wi-Fi 6, 5G connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, dual stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for biometric security.

Design and Availability

Aesthetically, the leaked renders showcase the Vibe 2 Max in three colorways: black, red, and green. The rear panel houses a prominent rectangular camera module in the upper-left corner, accommodating the dual-lens setup and an LED flash.

While the specifications are highly detailed, HMD has not yet officially acknowledged the device. Consequently, pricing, target markets, and an official launch date remain under wraps.
