ColorOS 17 Rolling Out Now: How to Update Your OnePlus or Oppo Eligible Devices

by · Nokiamob

OnePlus and Oppo are beating their own software deadlines, rolling out the stable Android 17-based ColorOS 17 update to select flagship devices ahead of the originally scheduled October 29 launch date.

The OnePlus 15 is leading the early release schedule. The company confirmed on its community forums that the stable update is currently deploying to users in India under firmware version CPH2745_17.0.0.102(EX01). Existing beta testers will receive a streamlined 540MB patch, while standard users upgrading directly from ColorOS 16 face a substantial 3.5GB download. Device owners can manually trigger the download by navigating to Settings > System & Updates > Software update, or by opting into the Release Candidate Program via the Beta Program menu.

Oppo is matching this accelerated pace for its own premium tier. The ColorOS 17 update is actively rolling out to the entire Find X9 lineup—including the Find X9, Find X9 Pro, Find X9 Ultra, and Find X9s—across India, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Simultaneously, the foldable Oppo Find N6 is receiving the update in Thailand. Mirroring the OnePlus rollout, Oppo’s file sizes sit at approximately 500MB for beta participants and 3.5GB for non-beta users.

With OnePlus and Oppo initiating their early deployment, Realme remains the final major brand operating under the same software umbrella waiting to push ColorOS 17. Given the current momentum, Realme devices are expected to begin receiving the Android 17 upgrade imminently.
