Bypassing a grand launch event, Xiaomi has silently expanded its smartphone portfolio by listing the all-new Redmi M100 on its official Chinese website. Positioned as an entry-level endurance champion, the device pairs Qualcomm’s latest budget silicon with a battery capacity rarely seen in modern smartphones.

Built for Endurance and Everyday Performance

The undeniable centerpiece of the Redmi M100 is its staggering 7,900 mAh battery, engineered to deliver multi-day battery life for heavy users. To minimize downtime, the massive power cell is supported by 45W fast charging.

Under the hood, the device is driven by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 SoC. This processor ensures reliable, snappy performance for daily tasks and is paired with Xiaomi’s latest operating system, HyperOS 3, straight out of the box.

Display and Design

The front of the Redmi M100 is dominated by a sprawling 6.9-inch LCD screen. While the 720 x 1600 resolution keeps the device firmly rooted in the budget tier, Xiaomi compensates by including a fluid 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 825 nits, ensuring smooth scrolling and decent outdoor visibility.

Unsurprisingly, the massive battery dictates the phone’s physical footprint. The device features a robust profile, measuring 170.12 x 78.42 x 8.8 mm and tipping the scales at a hefty 232 grams.

To keep production costs aggressive, the camera setup is strictly utilitarian. The phone features a single 13-megapixel primary rear camera, alongside a modest 5-megapixel front-facing shooter to handle basic selfies and video calls.

Pricing, Colors, and Global Availability

The Redmi M100 is available in three distinct colorways, translated as Wilderness Green, Star Rain White, and Deep Night Black. Consumers have access to three memory configurations:

  • 8GB RAM / 128GB Storage
  • 6GB RAM / 256GB Storage
  • 8GB RAM / 256GB Storage

Pricing in China starts at a competitive CNY 1,999 (approximately $296 USD).

While Xiaomi has not officially detailed its international rollout plans for the Redmi M100, industry watchers have noted striking similarities between this device and the upcoming Poco M8x. Given that the confirmed specifications for the Poco M8x perfectly align with this new release, it is highly probable that the Redmi M100 will reach global markets rebranded under the Poco banner.
