Samsung Galaxy M08 and F08 Headed to India with 6,000mAh Batteries and 6 Years of Updates
by Kreso · NokiamobSamsung is preparing to disrupt the Indian budget smartphone market with the impending release of the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08. Prioritizing device endurance and software longevity, these new handsets bring premium features to the entry-level segment, most notably an unprecedented six-year commitment to operating system upgrades and security patches.
Under the hood, both smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Helio G99+ octa-core processor, capable of clock speeds up to 2.2GHz. They are currently listed with a baseline configuration of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Recognizing the limitations of 64GB in 2026, Samsung has retained microSD card support, allowing users to expand storage capacity by up to 2TB. The front of the devices features a 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD panel with a resolution of 720 x 1,600 pixels.
For mobile photography, the M08 and F08 utilize a dual-camera array on the rear. The system pairs a 50-megapixel primary sensor—featuring autofocus, up to 10x digital zoom, and 1080p video recording at 30fps—with a 2-megapixel secondary depth camera. An 8-megapixel front-facing sensor handles selfies and video calls. To keep the hardware running, Samsung integrated a massive 6,000mAh battery capable of 25W fast charging, though the charging brick must be purchased separately.
The devices measure 167.4 x 77.4 x 8.0mm and weigh 197 grams. Despite their budget positioning, Samsung has secured an IP64 rating for both models, providing certified protection against dust ingress and water splashes. Biometric authentication is handled by a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Beyond the hardware, the software package stands out as a major selling point. Launching with Android 17 out of the box, the phones include access to advanced Samsung ecosystem features like Circle to Search, Quick Share, Knox Vault security, and SmartThings integration. The connectivity suite includes 4G LTE, dual SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, USB Type-C, and a legacy 3.5mm headphone jack.
While both the Galaxy M08 and Galaxy F08 are officially listed as “coming soon” to India, Samsung has not yet announced final retail pricing, available colorways, or a specific launch date.
