Fresh off their launch alongside the iPhone Duo, Apple’s new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max have already begun appearing on major benchmarking platforms. The smaller iPhone 18 Pro has surfaced on Geekbench, while the top-tier Pro Max model has been spotted on both Geekbench and AnTuTu, offering the first concrete performance data for Apple’s groundbreaking 2nm A20 Pro chip.

Here is what the early benchmark results reveal about Apple’s latest flagship smartphones.

iPhone 18 Pro Max posts massive AnTuTu score

AnTuTu has detected a device identified as iPhone 19,3 in its backend database, widely believed to be the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The listing shows a display resolution of 2868 × 1320, consistent with the larger Pro model, along with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, iOS 27, and the new Apple A20 Pro processor.

The device achieved an overall AnTuTu iOS V11 score of 3,551,073, broken down as follows:

For comparison, the iPhone 17 Pro Max averaged 2,275,118 points in the same benchmark last month. That places the iPhone 18 Pro Max substantially ahead in raw AnTuTu performance, indicating a significant generational leap.

iPhone 18 Pro: Geekbench results highlight strong single- and multi-core performance

The iPhone 18 Pro Max has also appeared on Geekbench 6 under the same iPhone 19,3 identifier, posting:

  • Multi-core score: 11,819
  • CPU configuration: six-core with a base frequency of 4.93GHz

Meanwhile, the alleged iPhone 18 Pro, identified as iPhone 19,2, has shown up on Geekbench 6.7 with even higher results:

The slightly better Geekbench performance on the smaller Pro model could reflect differences in thermal design, clock tuning or test conditions, but both devices clearly benefit from the new A20 Pro architecture.

A20 Pro chip and improved cooling drive performance gains

The A20 Pro is expected to be the primary driver behind these performance increases. Built on Apple’s first 2nm process node, the chip should deliver higher clock speeds, improved efficiency and greater computational headroom compared to previous generations.
