Popular Mattress Brand Nectar Launches New Collection Of Beds

by · Forbes

Bed-in-a-box brand Nectar, known for its pressure-relieving, affordable beds, upgraded its entire mattress line and added a new luxury model to its portfolio, the Nectar Ultra. Although a somewhat surprising move considering the popularity of its mattresses, my team and I had the chance to test the new models and found they offer sleepers more support, quality and differing feels—without losing the competitive prices.

The new collection consists of the Nectar Classic, Nectar Premier, Nectar Luxe and the Nectar Ultra. They’re designed to get softer as you go up the tiers so you have better selections for your specific sleep position and preferences. All models are available in an all-foam or hybrid build with coils, with the hybrid models being more expensive. Learn more about them below (and find out where to snag one of the older models before they’re gone).

New Nectar Mattresses: From The Baseline Up

The upgraded Nectar base model isn’t as soft and doughy as the last one. Rather, it offers sleepers a cushiony, medium-firm feel with a little more lift and support. It’s the firmest model of the new collection with improved edge support compared to the older Nectar Mattress. The hybrid model offers more of an "on top" feel than the memory foam option along with more responsiveness. We recommend the hybrid to heavier sleepers over 250 pounds or anyone looking for enhanced support and more bounce.

The upgraded Nectar Premier Memory Foam Mattress has more of a traditional memory foam feel with a bit of buoyancy to not trap you in the bed. It’s softer than the Nectar Classic with more sinkage and cooling features, as the cover feels subtly cool to the touch. If you want stronger edge support and more of a lifted feel, then choose the hybrid model

Formerly known as the Nectar Premier Copper, the Nectar Luxe is the third-tier mattress in the lineup with better motion isolation, cooling and support. We found it to have a medium-soft firmness level, which is great for side and some back sleepers. You still experience a classic memory foam feel in the Luxe Hybrid model, as well.

The Nectar Ultra is now the most luxurious offering from the brand. Available in a memory foam or hybrid model, it’s the softest collection in Nectar’s portfolio. We found the all-foam version to have a prominent, slow-moving memory foam feel—similar to what you find in a Tempur-Pedic Mattress. The hybrid model’s foam is a bit spongier and allows for deeper sinkage. Both are great picks for side sleepers, petite back sleepers and those who love a soft mattress. Due to the cushier nature of these beds, they don’t have the best edge support compared to the others in the new lineup.

Where To Find The Old Nectar Mattresses

We think the new models are enhanced versions of the ones before, but if you’d like to buy one of the old ones before they’re gone, you can find them below:
