IndiGo Delhi-Bound Flight Makes Emergency Landing At Goa Airport

GOA, Sep 1: A Delhi-bound IndiGo flight with 229 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Goa’s Manohar International Airport on Tuesday morning after a technical issue was detected, prompting authorities to declare a full emergency.

IndiGo flight 6E 2102, operating from Goa to Delhi, took off from Manohar International Airport at 9:16 am. An emergency was declared around 9:25 am, and the aircraft returned to the airport, landing safely at 9:50 am.

Based on initial information, the emergency was triggered by a reported failure in one of the aircraft’s engines. However, the airline in its statement described the issue as a technical problem and did not provide further details.

“The aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance checks and will resume operations after securing all necessary clearances,” IndiGo said.

The airline said it regretted the inconvenience caused to passengers and had made efforts to minimise disruption by providing refreshments and regular updates.

IndiGo also said alternative arrangements had been made for the affected passengers to reach their destination.
