J&K: Air Traffic Hit as Several Srinagar Flights Stand Cancelled
by Northlines · NorthlinesSrinagar, Dec 19: Several incoming and outgoing flights at Srinagar International Airport were cancelled on Friday due to adverse weather conditions and operational issues, airport authorities said.
In an advisory issued on X, the airport authorities informed that multiple flights to and from Srinagar (SXR) scheduled for the day stand cancelled. Passengers were advised to check the status of their flights with the respective airlines before heading to the airport.
According to details, flights operated by Air India, IndiGo and SpiceJet connecting Srinagar with destinations such as Delhi, Amritsar and Kolkata were cancelled owing to bad weather at destination airports and operational constraints.
The airport authorities expressed regret over the inconvenience caused and urged passengers to stay updated through official airline communication channels. Travellers have also been advised to plan their journeys accordingly in view of the prevailing weather conditions affecting flight operations. (KNC)
