CBSE Says 40,000 Students Complete Re-Evaluation Process Without Issues
by Northlines · NorthlinesNEW DELHI, Jun 3: Nearly 40,000 students have successfully completed the application process for verification and re-evaluation of CBSE board examination answer books without any issues, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) said on Wednesday.
The board said payment gateways of State Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda and Indian Bank are available on the verification and re-evaluation portal and students are not required to hold accounts with these banks to make payments.
“Students need not have an account with these banks to complete payment but can use any of these payment gateways,” CBSE said, adding that candidates can pay through UPI, net banking, credit cards and debit cards.
The board urged students and parents to rely only on official CBSE communications for accurate information.
The portal, which went live on June 2, allows students who have obtained scanned copies of their evaluated answer books to apply for verification of issues and re-evaluation of answers if they are dissatisfied with the assessment.
The facility will remain available until midnight on June 6. CBSE said all applications must be submitted online through its website using Aadhaar-based authentication and that no offline applications will be accepted.
Students can report issues such as missing pages, missing supplementary sheets, missing maps or graphs, blurred pages, incorrect answer books or evaluation against a different question paper set. The fee for verification is Rs 100 per answer book, while re-evaluation is charged at Rs 25 per question.
The development comes amid concerns raised by some students and parents regarding technical glitches, payment failures and access-related issues. CBSE also disclosed that its portal recently faced cyberattacks, including a denial-of-service attack that generated 1.5 million hits within two minutes and over one lakh attempts at unauthorised file access.
The board said additional measures, including extended session time limits, have been implemented to improve user experience and ensure secure access to the portal.
CBSE said the outcome of verification and re-evaluation requests will be communicated after completion of the process and advised students to submit applications within the stipulated deadline. (Agencies)
