Be Vigilant

Undoubtedly the inspiration given by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to security forces has shown positive results as soldiers deputed at the borders or in hinterland are all on tenterhooks round the clock giving no chance to the terrorists or any other enemy of the country to look towards India with evil eyes. The outcome of giving free hand to security forces personnel is quite promising as infiltration has become almost impossible for those being abetted by rogue country Pakistan. In the same context, the army has thwarted an infiltration attempt in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch by killing a terrorist after security forces witnessed a suspicious movement. It is pertinent to mention that India is aware of the fact that multiple groups of terrorists are stationed at launchpads near the LoC and are waiting to infiltrate into the Indian side to disrupt peace. This situation makes it necessary for the Indian security forces deployed near the borders to remain vigilant and foil any attempt made by the rogue country Pakistan to push terror mongers into Indian Territory. It is pertinent to mention that in many cases earlier, Pakistan has used similar modus operandi to send terrorists to this side of the borders both International Border and Line of Control to disrupt peace and carry out acts of terrorism. It is good that this time the Intelligence agencies have already alerted security forces, including the army, to maintain heightened surveillance along the border, and this successful operation is also due to the alertness of the security forces. The need of the hour is to have an effective counter-terrorism grid, intelligence framework, and inter-agency coordination to stop Pakistan from giving shape to its nefarious designs. Yesterday’s success came because security at both the border districts of Rajouri and Poonch had already been placed on high alert on account of the first anniversary observance of Operation Sindoor. Pakistan’s repeated attempts to send terrorists into Indian Territory require a strong counter mechanism to stop this menace once and for all. Full coordination and vigilance between the different wings of security forces and the intelligence agencies is therefore the need of the hour. In this context, the people living near the borders should also play a significant role by acting as ears and eyes of the government as they are first line of defence. One can say that strong security measures, timely intelligence, and public cooperation are the only ways to defeat the evil designs of those wanted to destabilize India through terrorism.
