BJP Can Do It

Going by the statistics available with regard to performance of BJP in Valley, it could be said that the future of the party in Valley is promising, if not very bright, as the days have gone when there were no takers of this political outfit.

Of course gerrymandering and addition of few votes after the changes on account of domicile rules may have given some edge to the saffron party but on the whole, the scenario in Kashmir has confirmed that if the Party's central leadership will continue to focus on the aspirations of the people, read their mindset in right perspective and act accordingly, days are not far when the Saffron party will make inroads and open up its account with good margins in Valley.

Reportedly, it remained second on two seats, third on four seats and fourth on three other seats in Kashmir besides fetching thousands of votes across 19 seats on which it has fielded candidates out of total 47 Assembly seats. The vote share secured by the BJP candidates in Valley is over 7 percent, which is not at all bad. As Congress is at the brink of ‘extinction' in the region, the outcome of these polls are indicating that in the coming time, whether it is Jammu region or Kashmir Valley, the main contender of the regional parties is going to be BJP as the party has proven its mettle beyond any doubt with almost clean sweeping Jammu Province and giving impressive fight in the valley, if not the tough one.

It is undeniable that BJP leadership has the knack to woo the electorate and sooner than later this virtue is going to give results, which is worrisome for the parties presently ruling the roost in Valley including the sinking ship of Congress, which saw devastation in Jammu despite being hopeful of doing phenomenally good.

All said and done, BJP is presently passing through a win-win situation as it has broken its own record of getting maximum seats in J&K, highest vote share all across the UT, and an impressive show of garnering support in the Valley.
