Fitbit's AI health coach is now available to way more people
by Rajesh Pandey · Android PoliceGoogle has been testing an AI-powered health coach feature with Fitbit Premium users in the US, dubbed Fitbit personal health coach, for the last few months. In February this year, it rolled out the program internationally to a handful of markets. Now, two months later, the feature is getting its biggest expansion yet.
In its announcement, Google says Fitbit users in 37 countries can now use the AI-powered personal health coach feature. The new countries include Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan.
Additionally, personal health now supports 32 languages, like German, Hindi, Polish, Swedish, Spanish, and Chinese.
Google says the feature will roll out as an update to the Fitbit app "over the coming weeks" to users in the new countries. I have already gained access to the redesigned app and Fitbit personal health in India, indicating a quick rollout on Google's part.
Do note that you will need to join the public preview program to gain access to the feature. The prompt for this will appear in the Fitbit app itself.
Personal coach uses AI to help create personalized plans and routines, set fitness goals and check your progress, create workouts, get detailed sleep analytics, and personalized recommendations.
Alongside its international expansion, Fitbit's personal health coach will now display your VO2 Max — previously known as Cardio Fitness Score — and offer AI-powered insights.
Personal health coach misses out on some features
Since the personal health coach feature is currently in preview, it lacks certain features that are a part of the regular app. This includes logging and tracking blood glucose and body temperature. It's also not possible to edit sleep sessions and the recorded data. Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 4 users will also miss out on advanced running metrics in the preview program.

While a few more features are still missing, enrolling in the public preview program for the personal health coach feature is worth it for the improved UI.
The revamped Fitbit app in the preview can also pull data from third-party apps via Health Connect, enabling more personalized recommendations and deeper insights based on your overall health data.
