The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE drops to $150 with this impressive carrier deal

The Galaxy S26 FE is a mid-range phone that's meant to feel like a flagship. Samsung delivers this by being careful about what it includes, often cutting features many people won't miss. For the most part, it's a fairly complete smartphone, and we can easily recommend it when it's down to a good price. That's the case right now, with Metro dropping the Galaxy S26 FE to just $150 with sign-up.

You can stick with the carrier or just move on

Now with most carriers, you're required to stick around for the entire term of the contract. However, Metro is an MVNO, which means that there isn't a long-term commitment to get a discount on the phone. If you like the service, stay with Metro.

The carrier has pretty good coverage and performance since it's built on top of T-Mobile's network. If you don't like or want the service after a month, you can just cancel the line, and you'll have a new Galaxy S26 FE for $150.

You're not out of the woods yet

Even after dropping the service and getting the Galaxy S26 FE for $550 below MSRP, the phone will still be locked to the carrier for one year. That's not what you want to hear because you won't be able to take it to another carrier.

In this scenario, I've heard some people just keep it until it unlocks. However, I recommend keeping the service if it works for you, since the plans are pretty affordable. Metro isn't the cheapest MVNO out there, but each plan comes with perks you'll like, like international service, Google One membership, and more.

The Galaxy S26 FE feels good overall

The Galaxy S26 FE delivers where it counts, and we think you'll be happy with it. It features a large 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen and is powered by the Samsung Exynos 2500 chip. It also packs 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

The phone also has a triple camera setup on the rear and a large 4,900mAh battery. Plus, Samsung commits to seven years of software updates to keep the device feeling fresh. Again, most people will be happy with this, especially at this discounted price.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE neatly bridges the gap between the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy S26, and uses a slick design and great software to its advantage, despite not dramatically updating the specifications over the Galaxy S25 FE.
