Blink's latest video doorbells increase resolution, but not the price

Wired and battery models
There are two models, the Blink Battery Doorbell and Blink Wired Doorbell, and both have a 2K+ resolution, increased from the 1080p offered on the current models.
Blink hasn’t confirmed the exact resolution at the time of writing, but we’ll take 2K+ to be at least 2560 x 1440 pixels, making it a substantial jump over a 1080p image.
The wired version is suited to homes with existing wiring for a doorbell, and Blink says the extra resolution will also improve dynamic range, which is helpful if the front of your home gets a lot of sun.
The battery doorbell doesn’t need any wiring, and promises the same improved dynamic range, plus a head-to-toe field of view, allowing you to not only see who is at your door, but also if anything has been left on the doorstep.
You may need a subscription
The pair represent a few firsts for Blink. Not only is it the first time the brand has offered 2K resolution, but also its the first wired-only video doorbell from the company.
Like competitor Ring, Blink’s video doorbells benefit from a subscription if you want to unlock all the features. These include person and vehicle detection, live video recording, and cloud storage for 60 days. In the US, the Blink Basic AI or Plus AI subscription gives smart alerts and cloud-based smart descriptions.
The new Blink Wired Video Doorbell 2K+ starts at $40, or £40 in the UK, and are available to pre-order now. The Blink AI Basic subscription (suitable for a single device) is $7 per month, while the Plus AI (required for multiple devices) is $20 per month. Subscription packages are significantly different in the UK, with fewer features and a cheaper price.
Blink’s 2K+ doorbells join a selection of other 2K resolution security products, including the Blink Mini 2K and Blink Outdoor 2K cameras introduced earlier in 2026.
