At $799, the Galaxy S25 Edge might finally be worth the compromise

Samsung might have given up on its slim phone ambitions, especially since the South Korean tech giant has been reported to ditch the S26 Edge in favor of a familiar Galaxy S26+. That, however, doesn't mean that you should ditch your plans too.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is a good phone with impressive tech, but the compromises that it makes to offer the razor-thin profile might not be digestible for some.

If you're a potential buyer who is fine with the smartphone's dual rear camera setup, a smaller battery, and slow charging, there's never been a better time to pick up the device.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is currently $300 off. Regularly available for $1,099.99, the smartphone is currently available for $799.99. That applies to the 256GB model. The 512GB model is similarly discounted. Regularly available for $1,219.99, it is currently available for $919.99.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8mm thin, complete with a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for added protection. The thin device boasts IP68 dust and water resistance for added durability.

The device features a 3,900mAh cell, which is small for a device released in 2025, but just enough for a full day of conservative use. That's paired with 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging (Qi2 Ready).
