Like every Google Pixel series before it, the Pro models in the Google Pixel 11 lineup get most of the interesting features.

You get features like the new HiLight LED and 120x Pro Res Zoom. But did you know that buying a Pixel 11 Pro model also unlocks a useful freebie?

Anyone buying a Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, or Pixel 11 Pro Fold gets six months of Google AI Pro for free. Google usually shows this offer while you're setting up the phone, but this time around, it's a little more hidden.

You get $120 worth of Google AI Pro with your Pixel 11 Pro purchase, and here's how to claim it.

The plan gives you access to powerful AI features and then some

Up until last year, with the Pixel 10 series, Google offered a full year of Google AI Pro with the purchase of a Pro Pixel phone. However, that's no longer the case.

Google has reduced the offer to six months with the Pixel 11 Pro series, but it's still a good freebie. The subscription normally costs $20 a month, so you get about $120 worth of benefits for free, which makes the Pixel 11 Pro's slight price increase easier to digest.

Before we get into how to claim it, it helps to know what Google AI Pro unlocks. Google AI Pro sits in the middle of Google's AI subscription lineup, alongside Google AI Plus and the more expensive Google AI Ultra.

With Google AI Pro, you get higher usage limits in Gemini, four times what you get with a free account, alongside access to the latest Gemini models.

AI Pro also includes Gemini integration in Gmail, Docs, and other Google services. Google bundles Google Home Premium and YouTube Premium Lite at no additional cost.

YouTube Premium Lite gives access to (almost) all the important features, including ad-free viewing and background playback. And don't forget: the subscription includes 5TB of cloud storage, shared across Google Drive, Gmail, Google Photos, and other Google services.

All in all, Google packs a lot into its AI Pro subscription, and you get six months for free with the Pixel 11 Pro. But you have to claim the offer.

How to claim free Google AI Pro with your Pixel 11 Pro

It only takes a few steps to activate your included subscription

To claim the free Google AI Pro trial on your Pixel 11 Pro, follow the steps below. Google prompts you to claim the offer through the Gemini app, but if that hasn't happened, you can manually check for it.

  1. Download and install the Google One app from the Play Store.

  2. Open the Google One app, and the app checks whether your Pixel 11 Pro is eligible for the offer.

  3. Tap the offer and follow the instructions to start your free trial.
  4. If it doesn't appear, tap the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner and select Settings.

  5. Scroll down and tap Check for offers.

  6. The Google AI Pro offer appears if your device is eligible. Tap Start trial to claim it.

And that's it. After you've completed the process, you'll get six months of Google AI Pro for free with your Pixel 11 Pro.

Google will ask you to add a payment method when setting up the trial. If you don't want to use Google AI Pro after the six months, cancel the subscription before the trial ends. Otherwise, Google charges your payment method.

Google may have shortened the free AI Pro trial with its new Pixel models, but it's still worth claiming, especially when you get about $120 worth of benefits for free.
