This is the best price we've seen on microSD storage in quite some time

Storage prices have skyrocketed over the past year, making it difficult to pursue any form of expansion. While storage prices won't be the same anytime soon, we think it's worth highlighting a deal when we see one. This Samsung P9 512GB microSD card has dropped to a record low for modern times, with an Amazon discount that knocks $50 off its MSRP. That's a 512GB card for just $100. Not bad if you ask me.

A good time to stock up

If you've been holding out, now's a good time to stock up on storage. This 512GB microSD card from Samsung is great for a variety of devices. So, pop it onto your phone, tablet, laptop, camera, portable game console — the list never ends.

For performance, you're looking at 800MB/s sequential read speed. Samsung doesn't list a write speed on the product page, so it's unclear where the performance stands. Taking a wild guess, it's easy to assume that it isn't as fast as its read speed, though.

So, if you have a demanding product, you might want to skip this one. However, Samsung's own page states that this card is good for drones, so you'll probably just have to pick it up and give it a shot. Since this is a microSD card with no moving parts, it should be very durable.
