ITV I'm A Celebrity's Reverend Richard Coles gags as he's issued stern warning by campmate

Reverend Richard Coles' entrance into the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! camp certainly made an impact.

The ex Strictly contestant will face a stomach-churning eating challenge that was almost too revolting to witness. As his fellow campmates look on, Reverend Coles began with a vile beverage that indicated the unpleasantness ahead, prompting Danny Jones to shout out a succinct cautionary message.

Host Declan Donnelly introduced Reverend Richard's initial trial item, saying: "This is... 'cammovile tea'... which is fermented herring."

At the prospect of consuming the foul-smelling concoction, Rev Richard couldn't help but moan. Dec then instructed him: "If you could polish off that whole cup", reports the Mirror.

After confirming he had to drink all of it, Reverend Richard humorously requested: "More tea, vicar." Maura Higgins couldn't hide her disgust as she observed Rev Richard gulp down the liquid, uttering: "Oh, my god."

Despite a seemingly promising start, the reverend quickly hit a snag as the flavour of the beverage assaulted his throat and stomach, leading him to fight back the urge to vomit as the drink nearly made a reappearance.

Pop sensation Danny, who was with his fellow campmates observing the trial, cautioned Richard: "Don't stop". He persisted, saying: "Keep going, don't stop."

However, Richard found it challenging to follow that advice, as he had difficulty keeping the liquid in, and when he coughed, Ant began to fan the air with his cue card, remarking: "I've just got a whiff of that." An unseen campmate expressed disgust, commenting: "That's really bad!" Ant, reacting to the odour, added while holding his nose: "You won't catch me drinking that."

The footage concludes with Rev Richard Coles hardly managing to hold down the repulsive concoction; and it remained unclear if he managed to finish it, thereby earning a star for the camp's evening meal.

On Friday, BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough exited the main camp to join the less-than-luxurious 'basic' camp, the Jungle Junkyard. There, he would have to endure alongside new jungle campmates Maura Higgins and Reverend Richard Coles until notified otherwise.

It was Maura and Richard who selected him, all while those back at the main camp remained oblivious to the fact that the junkyard is actually much more opulent than anticipated. Despite Maura and Richard pretending to survive on limited supplies and zero comforts, in reality, they've been indulging in the finer things.
