I'm A Celeb viewers complain minutes into show

The wait is finally over as the new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here began on Sunday night. ITV viewers will see the likes of GK Barry, Oti Mabuse, Melvin Odoom and Jane Moore swap their home comforts for the Australian jungle.

Although the show has just begun, it looks as though there's already a frontrunner to win the entire series. According to bookies Betway, Danny Jones could be this year's King of the Jungle.

Mike Reading, spokesperson at Betway, said: "McFly seem to have the magic touch when it comes to reality TV, with bassist Dougie Poynter taking home the jungle crown in 2011, and drummer Harry Judd snagging the Strictly Come Dancing Glitterball Trophy the same year.

However, as the episode kicked off, it wasn't long before viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on this year's line-up, with many saying the same thing.

One person said: "Lol I literally don't know who half these people are."

Another added: "Literally who are these people... worst lineup ever?!"

Someone else wrote: "'I don't even know who half of these are, is this a sign of becoming old or? #ImACeleb'"

"I'm a (unknown) celeb is back... who are half of these people," said another.

Another viewer commented: "Frantically Googling the younger ones because I haven't a clue who they are #feelingold"

With someone else tweeting: "So pleased that they are putting the celeb's job title on their intro sequence, half of them I have no idea who they are?!"

As the show kicked off, ITV viewers saw the first five celebrities meet by a luxurious poolside villa.

Oti Mabuse, Tulisa Contostavlos, Dean McCullough, Jane Moore and Danny Jones didn't have much time to get to know one another as they were quickly interrupted by five helicopters.

Arriving in style to greet the stars, Ant and Dec informed the celebrities they were getting stuck into the I'm A Celeb life instantly with a grim task.

They were told they'd have to down drinks consisting of blended bull's penis and fish eye, with a vomit fruit garnish.

The order they finished their drink determined the order in which they jumped out of their chopper and then chose one of the other five celebrities to pair up with.

Once in their pairs, they'd have to race together in order to be the leaders of the camp.
