A video recently went viral, showing a humorous misunderstanding where an e-hailing driver left his passenger

The video begins with the passenger opening the back door to place his belongings inside the car.

Afterwards, the driver asked, "Is that all of your stuff?" to which the passenger replied, "Yes".

The driver then looked forward, and upon hearing the door close, assumed that the passenger had already gotten in.

Believing his customer was on board, he drove away without checking.

The driver only discovered the mistake when he attempted to reconfirm the destination with the "invisible" passenger

Receiving no response, he turned around and was surprised to see only the passenger's bags in the backseat.

Unbeknownst to the driver, the young passenger placed the bags inside and was about to sit in the front seat when the car suddenly took off.

After realising his mistake, he stopped the car, allowing the passenger — who had been running after the vehicle — to catch up and board

Both laughed awkwardly, brushing off the incident as a lighthearted misunderstanding.

"Where did you go after closing the door?" the driver asked.

The passenger explained that he only intended to place his belongings in the backseat and was about to sit in front when the car sped off.
