Cocaine worth €500k disguised as lollipops seized from passenger at Dublin Airport

COCAINE VALUED AT around €500,000 was seized at Dublin Airport today, after it was disguised as lollipops.

The drugs were discovered when Revenue officers stopped and searched the baggage of a passenger who had come off a flight from Brazil.

The cocaine was concealed within bags of lollipops.

A man aged in his 60s was arrested by gardaí and has since been charged. 

In follow-up searches, gardaí seized €16,000 in cash and a further quantity of various controlled drugs valued at €14,500.

Investigations are ongoing.
