Appeal for witnesses after explosive device found at home in Co Cork

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses following the discovery of an explosive device at a home in Bandon, Co Cork.

The device was discovered at the property on Thursday.

No injuries have been reported and a technical examination of the scene has been carried out, a garda spokesperson said.

Gardaí are now seeking anyone who was in the Laurel Walk, Allen Square and North Main Street/Dunmanway Road areas between 2.50pm and 3.30pm on Thursday who may have seen anything unusual, as well as anyone with mobile phone or dashcam footage from the area during that time.

“The investigation is ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
