Teenager hospitalised after scrambler hit-and-run at North Strand in Dublin city

A TEENAGER WAS hospitalised with ‘serious injuries’ following a hit-and-run collision involving a scrambler.

The incident happened at the Five Lamps – at the junction of Killarney Street, Amiens Street and North Strand Road, Dublin 1 – on Saturday, 20 June.

A teenage pedestrian was struck by a scrambler at around 9.40pm, and the scrambler fled from the scene.

The pedestrian, a boy in his early teens, received treatment at Temple Street Children’s Hospital for serious injuries, believed to be non-life-threatening at this time.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.

Road users with camera footage, including dash-cam, travelling in the area of the Five Lamps / North Strand Road between 9.15pm and 10.15pm on Saturday 20 June are asked to make it available.
