Dragon’s Dogma 2, Stellar Blade, Lies of P, DMC5 & Metaphor: ReFantasio are all getting Switch 2 ports this year
by Stefan L · tsaIt was a big Nintendo Direct for Switch 2 ports, with a whole host of new announcements from the last few years.
Two major games from the last couple years, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Lies of P, Devil May Cry 5, Metaphor: ReFantazio and Stellar Blade, are coming to the Nintendo Switch 2.
- Dragon’s Dogma 2 will launch on 9th October 2026.
- Stellar Blade is coming sometime in 2026.
- Lies of P Complete Edition arrives digitally on 6th August, and then physically on 2nd October
- Devil May Cry 5 will then drop on 23rd June
- Metaphor: ReFantazio launches on 12th November
We’ll have to wait and see how performance holds up, with DD2 notoriously rather taxing on the original launch. Even so, in our review, Jason said, “Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a triumph of a game that wants you to just take your time and see everything you possibly can. You’ll be constantly pulled from your path by a new cave, a random quest, a chest one of your Pawns has found, random fights, and it’s all part of the experience. I adore this game, and while it has some aspects I think some will find too clunky, it’s a masterpiece.”
Hot on the heels of the newly announced sequel, the original Stellar Blade will be welcome on Nintendo’s handheld as well. Our Stellar Blade review saw Gamoc say “Stellar Blade is a pretty enjoyable game to swing your hairband sword at, so long as you don’t mind the obvious sexualisation. There’s a few rough areas, but nothing to spoil things overall and there’s plenty of interesting story to uncover as you fight your way through giant monsters with circular saws for heads and weird tentacles for legs.”
