JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) is accepting applications for its Master of Computer Applications (MCA) programme for the academic year 2025. The programme aims to prepare graduates for careers in areas such as information security, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.
To be eligible for the MCA programme, applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree, preferably with Mathematics at the 10+2 level or at the graduation level, and achieved a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to reserved categories).
The programme offers specialisation in Information Security integrated with Certification in CompTIA Security+, Storage and Cloud Technology integrated with Certification in CompTIA Cloud+, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. (ANI)
LPU launches online BBA and M.Sc. Economics programmes
Lovely Professional University (LPU) online, the digital learning division of the institute has launched two new programmes - Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics. The programmes will be delivered in fully online mode after approval from UGC.
These two programmes add to the existing ten online mode programmess being offered by LPU under the UGC entitled category. The programmes are MBA with nine specialisations, MCA with five specialisations, M.Sc. Mathematics, M.Com., M.A. English, M.A. Political Science, M.A. History, M.A. Sociology, BCA, and BA. (ANI)
All India Students’ Conference against NEP 2020 in Delhi
A conference opposing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 organised by the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO), began on Wednesday at Talkatora Indoor Stadium here.
The inaugural session featured several speakers, including Chaman Lal, Advisor to the Bhagat Singh Archives and Resource Centre, who criticised NEP 2020 for accelerating the privatisation and commercialisation of education. Former AIDSO president Arun Kumar Singh highlighted the history of the student movement and said, “The overwhelming response to the conference reflected public dissatisfaction with the deteriorating education system”. Messages from historians Irfan Habib and Romila Thapar were also shared during the session.
The conference will continue till Friday with sessions featuring international delegates, an academic seminar, and a delegate meeting. The participants have called for a united mass movement against NEP 2020. (PTI)
