District Collector Sumit Kumar on Friday urged the youth and entrepreneurs to leverage the Central government’s ‘RAMP’ (Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance) scheme. The initiative is supported financially by the World Bank, to enhance the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and to speed up their development.

During a meeting with officials from the Industries Department and local entrepreneurs at the Collectorate, the Collector stressed on the crucial role that RAMP plays in the formation of MSMEs, adding that all units within the State are included in this initiative.

He announced that the State government, through the Industries Department, has initiated a survey of all MSMEs within the manufacturing, service and commercial sectors to facilitate their transition onto a digital platform. “An e-survey will be conducted under the auspices of the District Industries Centre, in collaboration with the MSMEs Development Corporation, to facilitate communication via this portal and to register unregistered businesses in the Udyam and Movement Assistance schemes,” Mr. Sumit Kumar said.

He said that a mobile application named ‘E-Survey and Support’ has been developed on this behalf. Staff from the gram secretariats in rural areas, as well as urban secretariat staff, will undertake this survey from November 29 to February 1, 2025. This e-survey aims to encompass all MSMEs across the State.
