The Golden Edit: Lucky Cat Manchester’s exclusive summer tequila menu
by Angela Upex · Manchester Evening NewsSummer arrives with an energy all its own – warmer evenings, longer tables, and an appetite for something vivid and alive.
Lucky Cat Manchester answers with something made exclusively for the season: The Golden Edit - a brand-new tequila cocktail menu and the perfect reason to find a table on King Street.
Lucky Cat has always known how to make the most of a moment. Now, house music fills the room, resident DJs carry the energy into the evening, and there’s an atmosphere that moves from long summer lunches to late-night occasions without missing a beat – this is a restaurant built for the spirit of the season.

The Golden Edit features five cocktails, each one a meeting of Lucky Cat’s Asian-inspired instincts and the warmth and depth of premium tequila and mezcal.
Every serve arrives alongside a spicy tuna hosomaki, chosen by the kitchen as the perfect introduction to each cocktail and the ideal way to set the tone for dinner.
Experience:
- Golden Ritual - Genmaicha-infused Casamigos Reposado with white chocolate-washed Lillet Blanc, Noilly Prat and honey. Rich, roasted and served over a gold chocolate lattice.
- High Summer - Pandan-infused Código Blanco with falernum, fresh watermelon, lime, and soda. Tropical, refreshing, and dressed with a golden banana leaf.
- Smoke & Blossom - Chilli Código Rosa and Del Maguey Vida Mezcal with lychee, lime, and cucumber. Heat, smoke, and floral sweetness in a single glass.
- Golden Sunrise - Don Julio Blanco with Akashi Tai Yuzu Sake, sansho pepper syrup, and a Syrah float. Finished with lemon foam and gold leaf.
- Going Rouge - Tomato-infused Código Blanco with La Tomato, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, lemon, and a touch of soy. The menu’s boldest, most unexpected chapter.
Alongside these, the kitchen presents its most summer-ready plates: scallops with yuzu and sweetcorn or tuna kinilaw with coconut and calamansi – light, precise, and designed to be shared.
