I unboxed the Molton Brown perfume advent calendar reduced to cheapest price yet for Black Friday

If you've not bought your beauty advent calendar for 2024 yet, there's no better time than now, as some of the most luxurious offerings from premium brands have been heavily reduced for Black Friday. One such Black Friday reduction can be found on Molton Brown's cult advent calendar, which is packed full of fragrance goodies, including several perfumes, shower gels and body lotions.

It's an absolute haven for fragrance fans, and now it's on sale. The Molton Brown advent calendar contains products with a combined total of £313, and would normally set shoppers back £225.

But in time for Black Friday, it's been reduced even further on LOOKFANTASTIC, and is selling out fast. Having been slashed by £40, shoppers can nab the Molton Brown Advent Calendar for £180 here.

I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the Molton Brown advent calendars, and couldn't wait to see what goodies I'd find inside. I'm a huge fragrance lover, and own well over 50 bottles of perfume, so when it comes to smelling good, I'm a woman in the know.

The first thing to note about the Molton Brown advent calendar is the way it's packaged. Some of the more luxury beauty advent calendars can be a little hit or miss in their design, and that can be disappointing when you've forked out potentially hundreds of pounds, but this one feels really premium to me.

It comes in a gorgeous brown marble design, and there's a mirrored gold clasp at the front to keep it shut. Molton Brown has really thought about the detailing here, as the gold clasp comes with a little plastic cover to avoid it scratching in transit - making it stress-free if you're buying it as a Christmas present, or want to keep the box for beauty bits or jewellery in future.

My favourite thing about the Molton Brown advent calendar is the sheer number of perfumes you get inside. I was expecting a lot more bottles of minature body lotions, shower gels et al, but perfume really is king (or queen) in here.

Inside, you'll find bottles of the following; Rose Dunes Eau de Parfum, Wild Mint & Lavandin Eau de Toilette, Re-charge Black Pepper Eau de Parfum (my personal favourite), Delicious Rhubarb & Rose Eau de Toilette, Sunlit Clementine & Vetiver Eau de Parfum, and Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel Eau de Toilette.

All of these fragrances are designed to fit in the Fragrance Travel Case, which also comes inside the calendar. As someone who travels on budget airlines a fair bit, I already know I'm going to get a lot of use out of these little travel perfumes, as they'll easily pop into my hand luggage without breaking any rules. It's always nice to be able to take a selection of perfume on holiday, rather than one big bottle, so this will prove a life-saver for me in 2025.

If, like me, you enjoy pretty things, you'll appreciate the little festive baubles inside, which add a glorious Christmassy-feel to the Molton Brown advent calendar. The glistening little baubles contain various different scented shower gels - each shimmering.

The Marvellous Mandarin & Spice Festive Bauble is my favourite, as I adore Christmas scents, but you'll also get the Vintage With Elderflower Festive Bauble and the Fiery Pink Pepper Festive Bauble - which also smells divine if you like a spicy scent.

Away from perfume, as you'd expect from Molton Brown, there's a good selection of shower gels and bathing lotions. There's also a hand soap inside, which I'll be putting out as a fancier option for guests over Christmas, and hand lotion to match - so you can avoid those dreaded dry, winter hands.

I wasn't overly enamoured with the shampoo and conditioner inside the advent calendar, as they're pretty small, and I won't get more than a couple of washes out of them for my thick and long hair. But like the perfumes, they're great for travelling, and are a good size for popping in your hand luggage if you're off on a short weekend break.

If you can wait until Christmas, you'll find a small Molton Brown candle inside, in the Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel scent. I must admit, I was hoping for a more festive scented candle given it's an advent calendar and the time of year we all want out homes to smell like Christmas, but it smells good all the same, and is one I can hold on to for the new year.

The Molton Brown Advent Calendar isn't the only one to have been heavily reduced for Black Friday. Makeup lovers may want to check out the Charlotte Tilbury Charlotte's Beauty Treasure Chest of Love 12 Door Beauty Advent Calendar, which is now the cheapest we've seen it at John Lewis. It's worth £243 and has a full RRP of £170 but it's been slashed to £136 - offering a saving of £34 or £107 compared to the total value of the festive edit.

Or ESPA's Wellbeing Advent Calendar origiginally cost a cool £175 - while that's still a pretty good deal considering it's worth a whopping £488 - we've found it for even cheaper. Right now, shoppers can bag it with an extra 30% off for £122.
