I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here fans said they were 'sorry, not sorry' as they predicted the series 'winner' just as the latest run got underway. The hit ITV reality show made a much-welcomed return to screens on Sunday night (November 17).

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were seen back in Australia for the 2024 run of their popular programme with the opening episode seeing 10 new famous faces heading into the iconic jungle - including WAG Coleen Rooney, Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and McFly star Danny Jones.

In the episode on, viewers saw the celebrities paired up and face challenges in a bid to become the leaders of the camp, with Coleen and BBC Radio 1 presenter Dean McCullough competing together.

They were fighting to be the top dogs of camp as they will get certain privileges, including being exempt from the first trial, not having to do chores and getting to sleep in the leaders’ lodge.

After skydiving to the beach, Dean had the choice of Coleen or his Radio 1 colleague Melvin Odoom to which he declared: "Melvin, I’m so so sorry, Wagatha Christie you’re coming with me," using the name Coleen was dubbed after she accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking her private information to the press in a viral post on social media.

The other celebrity pairings are Irish boxing champion Barry McGuigan and Danny, Alan and N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavlos, Loose Women stars Jane Moore and GK Barry, and Melvin and Dancing on Ice judge Oti Mabuse. They then traveled to a river where they must find the keys to unlock their boats by putting their hands into "hell holes" which were likely to contain insects, snakes or other animals. Alan and Tulisa won the competition and were crowned the first camp leaders.

And later in the jungle, Barry and Danny had to take on the first trial after being chosen by their fellow contestants. It saw them locked in padlocked cages and trying to earn stars, which equate to meals, all while being covered by huge snakes.

At one point, Danny complained to hosts Ant and Dec that one of the creatures had ventured inside his clothes. "I've got a snake up my shorts. Guys, I have got a snake up my shorts," he exclaimed. Ant quipped back: "There's no need to brag." Danny started to scream as Ant and Dec struggled to hold in their laughter.

The campmate managed to finish the challenge, bagging five stars. Once the trial was over, Danny unzipped his shorts to reveal a large snake curled up on his crotch. As Danny screamed out at the sight of it, one of the animal handlers grabbed the snake and pulled it out of his shorts by its tail. Ant called out "what a start to the series," as Dec exclaimed: "Wow".

The trial came after Danny had already been named the 'winner' of I'm A Celeb 2024 and he was quickly hailed for the 'moment of the series' before it has even fully got underway.
