An adults-only campsite in the Peak District has been named one of the best in England in the AA Caravan & Camping Awards 2024-2025. This year the categories include AA Glamping Site of the Year, AA Campsite of the Year, and AA Most Improved Campsite of the Year. Among the winners is Longnor Wood Holiday Park near Newton, described as a ‘hidden gem’ by the AA inspector.

It took the title of AA Campsite of the Year for the Heart of England. The inspector was impressed by its “secluded and very peaceful setting” which is “surrounded by meadows and beautiful rolling countryside and sheltered by woodland where there are walks to enjoy and lots of wildlife to observe.”
