Our Yorkshire Farm's Clive Owen has had significant surgery, Amanda Owen revealed in a recent update. During an exclusive preview of their new series Our Farm Next Door on ITV's Lorraine, Amanda shared that Clive is recuperating from a hip operation and the family is rallying around him.

In a behind-the-scenes chat, Amanda told the crew: "There's a lot going on here. It's been a nightmare here. I've got children going to school, I've got children studying and children working and then he comes to me and says he's bored."

She also spoke about the difficulties of his recovery, saying: "He has had a hip replacement and he's a terrible patient. Everybody's just getting on and stuff's getting done but just not how he would like it. But most of the time we don't care."

Despite their amicable split, Amanda and Clive are both deeply involved in renovating a derelict farmhouse for their upcoming show, a project that has faced its fair share of challenges due to severe weather and other issues, reports Lancs Live.

Amanda disclosed: "This actually belongs to us whereas Ravenseat is a tenanted farm. This has an amazing history and no one has actually lived here for over 100 years," while Clive added: "There's no road to it at all."

The duo acknowledged that the weather conditions were not ideal. Amanda elaborated: "It was never going to be simple. I'm not that much of a twit right? Ask me anything about sheep and I'll tell you what I think about them. Ask me anything hill farming, no problem. Ask me anything about home renovations, not a clue. This is all about the future. It's a big undertaking."

Amanda and Clive announced their separation in 2022, stating: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate. This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."

Clive later admitted that his temper was a factor in the split, saying it "drove her away".

The couple have nine children together: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clemmie, and Nancy, who are currently pursuing education, working, or attending school.
