Big Brother viewers made a hilarious Love Island observation over a new contestant from Manchester. The hit show made a huge comeback for its second series on ITV on Sunday night (October 6).

The live launch, hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, revealed a series of brand new housemates whose every move will be watched by the nation over the six weeks the show airs to ITV2 and ITVX.

The iconic live reality show made a comeback to screens for a reboot in 2023, having previously been cancelled by Channel 4 in 2010 and Channel 5 in 2018.

It seemed viewers quickly made one hilarious Love Island observation after Khaled, 23, from Manchester was announced as the sixth contestant to be entering the house.

In his intro clip, Khaled announced he was single and said 'modern dating has gone down the bin' as he revealed he 'liked the idea of traditional romance' and compared mobile dating apps to food delivery service Uber Eats.

But his comments quickly caught the attention of viewers on X, formerly Twitter, who suggested he had 'entered the wrong house' and humorously suggested he may have applied for ITV hit show Love Island instead.

@km97_x joked: "Khaled thinks he’s going onto love island. wrong house mate" as @lukasdyemusic wrote: "poor khaled hasn’t realised that he applied for big brother rather than love island."

@wanderlust_84 posted: "Khaled…. Coming to a Love Island near you in 2025" as @luvstrivias quipped: "khaled deffo applied for love island but itv put him in the big brother house."

And user @MrJTullo asked: "Why does Khaled's intro sound like he should be on Love Island, talking about love & dating apps?"
