Emmerdale fans 'work out' Amelia's real baby dad in pregnancy twist - but it's not Tom

Emmerdale enthusiasts are convinced that a surprise pregnancy plot is in the works for Amelia Spencer - but they suspect Tom King isn't the father.

Currently, Amelia (played by Daisy Campbell) is romantically involved with villain and abuser Tom King (portrayed by James Chase). Viewers will remember that Tom previously abused his wife Belle Dingle (acted by Eden Taylor-Draper) earlier this year, leading to Belle leaving him.

However, Tom has since started a relationship with Amelia, who is a decade his junior. He has successfully charmed Amelia, who has fallen for his allure and pledged to stand by Tom regardless of the circumstances.

In addition to trying to establish his innocence, Amelia has been keeping her daughter Esther away from Sam (James Hooton) and Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick), who are Esther's grandparents.

With actor James Chase's departure from the soap reportedly on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating his character Tom's deserved downfall. And in last week's episode, it seemed that Lydia had managed to make Amelia see Tom for what he truly is, reports Leeds Live.

The next day, however, Amelia confronted Tom and questioned his 'true' feelings. The manipulator managed to sweet-talk Amelia, convincing her that his feelings for her were sincere. But now, amidst the Dales drama, fans speculate that Amelia might be pregnant, and to add an unexpected twist, some viewers believe Tom isn't the baby's father.

One Emmerdale fan speculated on a Facebook fan page: "The next story is she'll be pregnant with his child," sparking agreement from others, with comments like: "Definitely! Only a matter of time." Another chimed in: "Let's hope Tom isn't the father." While someone else added: "That would tip him over the edge! I want it to be some random, or maybe Noah."

Meanwhile, another viewer noted that Amelia and Tom haven't been intimate, stating: "He said he wants to wait so as of now they have not done the deed but that may change."

Yet, another fan suggested the show could find a workaround: "They could retcon that though. Could have happened off-screen, but wouldn't be the first time". Echoing the sentiment, another person simply put: "100%."
