Exactly when temperatures are forecast to soar to 19C in Manchester next week

Despite being well into October, Manchester is set to bask in summer-like temperatures one day next week.

Manchester has experienced a chilly few days, with today's temperatures at an autumnal 13C while tonight it's definitely big duvet weather with the mercury dropping to a possible 1C, according to the Met Office.

Sunday night isn't expected to be much better, with temperatures hovering around 4C while daytime temperatures are expected to peak around 10C.

However, next week will start to feel a little warmer with temperatures slowly creeping up on Monday. Tuesday is even better still, with 16C expected during the day while the night will average around 13C.

But mid-week we really start to see a big change.

On Wednesday, while it's expected to be cloudy with a good chance of rain from late-morning through to late afternoon, temperatures are set to hit 19C at their peak and could possibly reach 21C, according to Met Office predictions.

Both Thursday and Friday are expected to see a bit more sun, while daytime temperatures drop a little to around 16C.

Met Office forecasters predict Monday to be 'mainly dry and bright' after a damp start. While Tuesday will be largely dry with bright spells.

Rain is expected at times, which will be occasionally heavy on Wednesday. But temperatures will be much milder than recently, especially around mid-week.
