Gavin and Stacey star Larry Lamb delivered a humorous on-screen message to his co-star Alison Steadman during Friday's episode of This Morning.

Alison, 78, appeared on the ITV programme to discuss her new memoir Out Of Character, and naturally, the conversation turned to the much-loved BBC series Gavin and Stacey, which is set to grace screens this Christmas with a special episode.

Before Alison's interview, This Morning aired a clip from Larry, 77, who had appeared on Good Morning Britain the previous day, Thursday 10 October, as he warned Alison in a two-word message 'sealed lips' over any Gavin and Stacey spoilers.

In the message, Larry quipped: "Hello sweetheart, here we are again in front of the camera, right? I'm on Good Morning Britain today on Thursday. You're on This Morning Friday."

He continued with a playful warning: "You're going to get the same interrogation I'm getting I'm sure, everybody wants to know about Gavin and Stacey, what's gone on and we all know... sealed lips, alright? Have a lovely day!", reports Wales Online.

Reflecting on the end of filming and whether it was an emotional experience, Alison shared: "It was, it was because we all love it so much! We had a great time being back together and that final wrap, I mean!"

When asked if she plans to watch the Christmas special, Alison confirmed: "Yeah, I will! " She also revealed that despite not having seen the episode yet, as they had only finished filming on Monday night, there might be a cast and crew screening, but she still can't watch it just yet.

Gavin and Stacey first graced our screens in 2007 and wrapped up in 2010, but it made a triumphant return with a Christmas special in 2019 to the delight of fans. Now, the cherished BBC sitcom is set for another festive treat this December.

In the much-loved series, Mathew Horne stars as Gavin Shipman, Joanna Page as Stacey Shipman, James Corden as Neil "Smithy" Smith, Ruth Jones as Vanessa "Nessa" Jenkins, Larry as Michael "Mick" Shipman and Alison as Pamela Andrea "Pam" Shipman.

The cast also includes Rob Brydon as Brynfor "Uncle Bryn" West, Melanie Walters as Gwen West, and Sheridan Smith as Ruth "Rudi" Smith.

The cast has remained very tight-lipped about what will happen in the final ever episode, with many fans desperate to know if Smithy says yes to Nessa's proposal.

This Morning continues on weekdays at 10am on both ITV and ITV X.
