Oven glass doors are notoriously hard to clean. The burnt-on food remnants are often hard to budge without a little elbow grease. The longer the glass remains stained and dirty, the tougher it becomes to clean. For this chore, Tom Jackson, a cleaning guru and the brains behind Carpet Cleaners MCR, swears by one specific product.

"To best clean oven glass, we would recommend a professional oven cleaning solution. If you don't have this and need a domestic product, 'The Pink Stuff' is great for cutting through the grime." The Pink Stuff cleaning paste has become a sensation among cleaning buffs for its impressive results. The brand boasts how its natural ingredients deliver "high performance" without harsh chemicals. The expert's top tip is to let the product sit for 10 to 15 minutes to really "let the product work". Tom warned: "It can be tempting, but don't rub it off too soon. Let it work its magic naturally."

Tom also recommends using a silver scourer with this miracle paste to tackle the more stubborn grease marks that won't budge with gentler methods. And, make sure you wear gloves before smearing the product onto the glass. After leaving the product to work its magic, grab the scourer and give the glass a good final scrub with a bit of water. For those extra "stubborn areas", he recommends using a sharp scraper. To finish, wipe off the product with a cloth and warm water. For any spots that are missed, use the scourer again, but be gentle to avoid damage.

For those preferring a more natural approach, Toby Schulz, CEO and co-founder of Maid2Match, suggests using a silicone/plastic scraper and baking soda for the job. "Try and see if you can use a silicone or plastic scraper to remove any stuck-on grime from the oven glass. Lay some newspapers on the floor underneath to collect the debris for easier cleaning." For "very stubborn stains and dirt", he recommends creating a paste of baking soda and water. Apply this mixture with a non-abrasive sponge to the affected areas and let it sit for up to 20 minutes. Then, households can go back in with their scraper to lift away the loosened dirt, or for an extra boost, spray some white vinegar onto the area for "additional cleaning power".
