Cleaning the oven isn't exactly a blast, but one woman has gone viral for making it easy with her brilliant hack.

The expert named Auri, shared her technique on TikTok under the @aurikatariina handle, leaving people absolutely gobsmacked by her 'revolutionary' tip. Kicking off her video, Auri announces: "This hack will change your life."

She instructs viewers to spray oven cleaner onto the burnt surface before topping it off with cling film. After waiting for 24 hours, she says the stains should have 'dissolved away'. Next up, Auri swears by giving it a good scrubbing with a Scour Daddy, dubbing it 'dead satisfying'.

Once you've given it a wipe clean and applied some stove polisher, it's all done and your oven is sparkling clean. This great video lit up Instagram, being hailed as "The best cleaning hack ever". One gobsmacked viewer said: "It turned out wonderful," another person was all ears about the products that did the trick.

But, quick to chip in, some people pointed out any old oven cleaner from the shops would fit the bill. This nifty little nugget follows hot on the heels of another oven glass cleaning tip that got people. Cleaning oven glass can often be a real drag, as it's not just splattered with grease and food, but these can also get burnt onto the surface, making it stubborn to remove.

However, Erin, a natural cleaning guru and founder of Lemons Lavender and Laundry, has revealed that cleaning an oven doesn't have to be a daunting task - all you need is one ingredient you probably already have in your kitchen - baking soda.

Baking soda is alkaline, which means its high pH level can break down acidic substances like grease or burnt food. It's also mildly abrasive, so it can easily wipe away grime without scratching the glass. Erin added: "While using baking soda takes a little more time and effort than using an oven cleaner, it certainly does the job; and without harmful chemicals."
