North Shore has arrived in the UK and viewers will recognise a number of the main cast members, including those from Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones

ITV's fresh crime drama North Shore has arrived, dazzling with an ensemble including familiar faces from Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones.

This six-part murder mystery unravels the narrative of a British detective pairing up with an Australian counterpart to crack open the case of a slain UK politicians daughter in Sydney.

The official description reads: "Set on and around Sydney Harbour, North Shore follows the clash of cultures when a British and an Australian detective team up to solve a complex murder mystery and uncover a conspiracy with international political consequences

North Shore was first broadcast in Australia in 2023 and, lucky for UK viewers, is now fully binge-able on ITVX. The first episode was aired on ITV 1 at 9.30pm on Saturday, January 4, with following episodes at the same time slot. 

Manchester Evening News reports that while drama plays out in the land Down Under, it boasts British talent, featuring Joanne Froggatt of Downton Abbey and Liar acclaim, and John Bradley, known for his stint on HBO's hit series Game of Thrones

John Bradley as Detective Max Drummond

John Bradley steps into the shoes of Detective Max Drummond. The English actor is most notably known for his portrayal of Samwell Tarly in HBO's Game of Thrones, and more recently, he brought to life the character Jack Rooney in Netflix's sci-fi drama 3 Body Problem.

Kirsty Sturgess as D.S Meg Driscoll

Viewers might recall Sturgess from her appearance in Thirteen Lives.

Rob Carlton as Lloyd Macklin
