Furious passenger took my seat on the plane - but my ultimate two-word revenge left her reeling
by Liam Gilliver · The MirrorThere's drama in the air - but one passenger got the last laugh. Travelling, especially on long haul journeys, can be a pretty draining experience. You always end up being seated behind someone who reclines as soon as the light belt signs switches off. One passenger was recently left feeling smug after realising a fellow traveller had stolen the seat he'd specifically paid more for. Despite the woman refusing to move at first, his ultimate act of revenge ended up "paying off", he said.
Seat Stealer Gets What She Deserves

Taking to Reddit, an anonymous user explained their cousin was flying internally from Ahmedabad, India, to Kolkata on Indigo Airlines, where she had booked him onto an exit row aisle 'well in advanced' due to him being so tall. But when he boarded and finds his row, he realises a 'seat snatcher' has already buckled up. After having a back-and-forth with the woman (named Karen for the purpose of the post) who refused to move, the man headed to the front of the plane to explain the situation to a flight attendant.
"She confirms that the seat is indeed his, but instead of escalating, my cousin decides to play it cool," the post reads. "He returns to Karen with a new idea." The post adds that the cousin told Karen how the flight attendant confirmed it is his seat, but that she's offered a complimentary upgrade to business class to solve the dispute. It is then claimed the passenger became 'suddenly interested', adding: "Business class? Really?" When the cousin offers her the upgrade, saying he prefers the legroom in the exit row, Karen is said to have jumped at the opportunity to fly in style.

"Karen hops up immediately, smugly grabs her bag, and struts to the front," the post continues. "My cousin finally takes his rightful seat, and as he chats with the other passengers, they reveal they've been irritated by Karen's antics too. He shows them his boarding pass, confirming he's exactly where he's supposed to be."
However, there was actually no business class seats on the plane at all, which Karen quickly realises after speaking to a flight attendant. It is said she 'storms back' to confront the man, who is now seated in his correct seat. A flight attendant comes over to the commotion and asks Karen to show her boarding pass. The chaos escalates after she refuses to oblige, resorting to the captain of the plane to come over.
She is ordered to show her boarding pass or threatened with being kicked off the plane. "Defeated, Karen finally gathers her things, her face burning red with embarrassment as she walks down the aisle toward her actual seat in 22B," the post concludes. "Along the way, she keeps muttering curses under her breath, shooting daggers back at my cousin and the flight crew. Meanwhile, my cousin settles back into his rightful seat, and the flight finally prepares for takeoff."
