Say goodbye to complicated, time-consuming chocolate cake recipes and whip up this delicious dessert in no time.

The creator of the My Fussy Eater blog Ciara uses just three ingredients to make her "easiest ever" chocolate cake. While air fryers are known for their versatility with a vast array of foods, baking a cake doesn't commonly come to mind. "I'm all for recipes that are quick and easy to make and this air fryer chocolate cake has to be up there as one of the most simplest but also most delicious recipes ever," the cookbook sensation said. Ciara's method involves three minutes prep time and 13 minutes air frying to bake this chocolaty delight. Ingredients include 100g plain flour, 300g chocolate spread, and two medium eggs, reports the Express.

To begin toss flour, chocolate spread, and eggs into a bowl and give them a good mix, either manually or with an electric whisk. Whether you opt for Nutella or any store-brand chocolate spread, Ciara assures even nut-free alternatives "works perfectly" too. An important tip before mixing is to grease your cake tin thoroughly on the bottom and sides with oil or butter, or line it with baking parchment for a non-stick experience. Ciara's key advice is to cook your cake at 180 degrees in the air fryer for 13 minutes, and there's no preheating required.

"This results in a really fudgy and gooey cake, almost the texture of a brownie," said the cookbook author. For folks who fancy a slightly sturdier slice, she suggests extending the cooking time by an additional two to three minutes. It's advised to let the cake chill completely in the tin prior to carving to facilitate an effortless removal. Then to complement the "absolutely delicious" chocolate delight, Claire mentioned her preference for pairing it with Greek yoghurt and berries.

Ciara started her blog in 2014 as a mum to two young children, who wanted to get her then three year old daughter to eat a better, more varied diet. She has since shared more than 500 recipes on the site, with a cookbook, You Tube Channel and bestselling app too. "Keep calm and keep trying," she advised to parents with fussy eater children. "Don't get overly stress or anxious about it, especially around your child. You don't want them to know that it is a big issue. Children's taste buds change and develop so quickly when they are young. They may hate broccoli today but in a few weeks they might find it a lot more palatable. Keep offering these foods but don't make a big deal out of it if they refuse them."
