'I ditched my trainers for Oodie's puffer boots they are the best shoes I've ever bought'
Oodie's puffer boots are the ultimate winter shoe according to fans. They have the feel of a slipper, with a cosy fleece lining, but a rubber sole design that allows you to wear them outside too
by Lauren Goodwin-Grafton, Rachel Pugh, Shawna Healey · The MirrorOodie, renowned for its luxuriously soft wearable blankets that fend off the cold without resorting to expensive central heating, has recently launched its Black Puffer Boots. While their blankets are large enough for some to curl up and tuck their toes in, this isn't always practical.
The boots, perfect for everyday tasks while maintaining style, are ideal for when you need to quickly complete tasks and keep your feet warm. Rachel Pugh, the fashion and beauty editor at the Manchester Evening News, who is well-versed in footwear, put the Oodie boots to the test.
As a streetwear enthusiast and self-confessed sneakerhead, she owns an absurd number of Nike Dunks in a variety of colours, as well as styles from Adidas. However, trainers aren't always the most practical choice for wearing around the house, walking the dog or driving. Nike trainers, in particular, are prone to creasing if worn too frequently, and they're certainly not ideal for slipping on and off for quick tasks.
Therefore, she set out to find a practical pair of winter shoes that were easy to throw on for everyday tasks but still stylish. That's when she discovered Oodie's Black Puffer Boots - which you can purchase here for £29.50 reduced from £59, reports Lancs Live.

Oodie is famously known for its hooded blankets, which have kept countless individuals warm at home and helped reduce heating bills. With such high praise for its clothing, Rachel was eager to see if its footwear would receive the same love. She went on to tell us....
"Priced at £29.50 for a limited time, Oodie's Black Puffer Boots initially reminded me of North Face's Puffer Shoes - a £65 style I've been eyeing for some time. But besides being £7 cheaper, Oodie's had another advantage - a beautiful sherpa fleece interior lining, meaning you don't even need to wear thick socks to experience a cloud-like feel on your feet.
With both style and practicality covered, I took the leap and placed my order, and I'm glad I did. Since my Oodie Black Puffer Boots arrived, I can honestly say I've worn them every single day. They feel like a slipper, with a fleece lining and padded heel support, but they have a rubber sole design that allows you to wear them outside without worrying about leaks or wear and tear. They're the ultimate multipurpose shoe for autumn and winter.
At home, I wear them to keep my feet warm while I'm pottering around (without needing socks, I might add) - which saves on having to turn the heating on. As unglamorous as it may sound, these boots are perfect for quick tasks like taking the bins out, thanks to a handy loop at the back that allows you to slip them on easily. They've also been my go-to for numerous dog walks.
With their rubber soles and waterproof exterior, I can stroll through the park without worrying about getting my feet wet. I usually avoid going out when it's raining heavily (my French Bulldog shares my princess-like tendencies and refuses to walk in the rain), so I can't vouch for their full waterproof capabilities.
However, they've been great for walks on damp grass. They've also become a favourite for driving, saving my pricey Nike collection from creases.
Oodie's Black Puffer Boots have also gained popularity among my family members. Both my mum and aunty, who are in their 60s, have expressed their desire to own a pair. I hope they're not reading this, but I already know what their Christmas presents will be. It seems I'm not the only one smitten with Oodie's Black Puffer Boots."
If you needed any more convincing they boast an almost perfect five-star rating on the Oodie website, with just one four-star review and no ratings below that. One satisfied Oodie customer gushed: "These are very fluffy and you won't need to wear thick socks." Another pleased customer exclaimed, "Comfortable, practical best shoes I've brought," while a third shared, "This shoe is so comfortable I wear them on cold days without socks. They are easy to put on and take off. The shoe is lined with fleece so your feet get that cosy feeling."
A delighted shopper wrote: "I absolutely love these. If I could wear them everywhere I would. I have feet prone to being cold and these shoes keep my feet warmer that All birds and Sketchers. Highly recommend these. Brilliant."
