Dean McCullogh hopes to make a splash in the jungle - by bringing his own take on Myleene Klass' famous shower scene.

DJ Dean, 32, certainly won't be shy in camp to show off his opinions or his body. He said: "I've brought in a pair of white speedos. I’ve got to give the gays what they want. I’ve been squatting and Sam the PT, whenever I’m like 'I don't want to do it anymore' he was like, 'Dean, one more set. Think of yourself in the Jungle shower'.

"So I'm going to be doing the squats in the white Speedos. Hopefully, somebody takes a picture and puts it on Instagram and I get a couple more followers." Dean also struggled to contain his excitement about meeting some of the other campmates.

He said: "I still actually cannot physically get my head around it that I'm going to be in a jungle with famous people and they can't get away from me like I can ask them pretty much anything I want, and they can't really say no because they'll come across as horrible. Like that is brilliant for me, because I can ask them whatever I want.

"Wagatha Christie, are you mad? Like Coleen Rooney!! I cannot wait! I’m going to pull her in for a chat, I’m gonna be like, Oh my God can I be one of your close friends on Instagram now?”

Asked what sort of campmate he will be, Dean said: "Look the camp will need somebody that can like, spark conversation, have a nice time. I'm more than happy to be that person, because I think that no one likes a grumpy campmate. No one likes, you know, all the bitching or starting arguments or anything like that. That's not really my jam.

"I love being around people. I love getting up early in the morning. I like to do it for a living. I love talking. I do it for a living. So I'm, I'm pretty sure that by, like, by next week, everyone's gonna be, like, “Right Dean, you’ve already asked us that or we’ve already made up that dance routine or we’ve already had that talk.” But I'll be like, “More, more, more. Let's do more.”

And he just hopes by the end of the ITV series he hasn't upset anyone and can still be a Radio 1 DJ. He said with a laugh: "I’d like to come out with a job. With a job at the BBC. I’d like to come out and my family still be proud of me. I’d like to be able to walk down the street in Belfast and not get heckled for, you know, saying I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

"I need to represent Northern Ireland. I mean, I'd like to come out of here just happy and with more friends. Can you imagine what it's going to be like when I'm having my birthday next year and I'm like, Oh yeah, you know, Coleen’s going to be there and Maura."
