A lot of people decide to freshen up their bathroom with a lick of paint or some new accessories every now and again.

However, one woman was told she was 'crazy' when she said she was going to turn her bathroom pink.

But, people have been left shocked by the renovation results after home, travel and lifestyle influencer Gemma Markland shared them online – describing her new bathroom as "beautiful".

Hannah, who boasts 945,000 followers on Instagram, took to the site to share her bathroom makeover in a reel.

It began with what the room used to look like – with the walls, units and floor all a beige colour, while there were wooden blinds at the window. Overlay text read: "They said I was crazy for wanting to change this to a pink bathroom."

The results of her new bathroom were then shown, as the room featured white marble floor and a modern shower with gold finishings. There was also a pink feature wall, blind and mat on the floor as well as a modern wooden unit.

Hannah then asked her followers: "Do you think I'm crazy?"

It appears they didn't, as the post racked up more than 7,600 likes. One person exclaimed: "It’s beautiful and I’m so not a pink person." While another added: "So classy and stylish, you have great taste."

A third agreed: "Love it, it’s a million times better. It’s beautifully done and subtle. I love minimalist clean lines. Sleek and pretty all at the same time."

However, despite a lot of compliments, some claimed the bathroom wasn't that pink, as one person wrote: "I would have kept a bath tub! Looks nice but not really pink… very subtle."

Those who are planning to re-do their bathroom soon may want to take note from mother Melissa Preston and her daughter Mia, who saved £3,400 on their renovation using B&M bargains.
