Prince Louis idolises his big sister Princess Charlotte - so much so that he likes them to have all the same things.

It's been revealed that Princess Kate took her two youngest children to Elstree Studios in December 2023 for a secret visit behind the scenes of the hit BBC TV show Strictly Come Dancing. Head judge Shirley Ballas later spoke about the royal outing and shared a sweet anecdote about little Louis and Charlotte. "They are beautiful. When they visited we had these crowns on set, so I thought it would be a nice idea to give the little girl a crown and I got him a nice box of sweets," Shirley told the Sun . "Then he went, 'I want one of those' and pointed at the crown.

"So, we had to go and find him a little crown. They're beautifully polite children. They had an absolute ball." She continued: "We have photos, but I didn't want to post them. I think it's more private for her. I was just glad she was able to come in and have a great day. They all watch Strictly."

It's not the first time Louis has tried to follow in his sister's footsteps. Just recently, Prince William shared that young Louis has developed a habit of taking his sister Princess Charlotte's jewellery. And the proud dad previously revealed how Louis follows his sister around in the mornings.

"One of the songs that the children are loving at the moment is Shakira, Waka Waka. There's a lot of hip movements going along. There's a lot of dressing up," he said. "Charlotte, particularly, is running around the kitchen in her dresses and ballet stuff and everything. She goes completely crazy with Louis following her around trying to do the same thing."

It's not just the Wales family who are fans of Strictly, meanwhile. And one royal has even said they'd love to take a spin on the famous dance floor. Princess Anne is not one to back away from a challenge, and she told professional star Nadiya Bychkova that she'd love to add an appearance on the BBC dance show to her long list of achievements.

Queen Camilla is also known to enjoy Strictly - just like the late Queen Elizabeth II , who was also apparently a fan. Camilla previously confirmed that the Queen enjoyed watching the dance competition, and that the entire royal family voted for the 2021 winner's Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice.

Camilla and husband Charles met Rose during a visit to the EastEnders set where they spoke with the cast. According to the Mail Online , Camilla was full of praise for Rose and her star turn on the show, which included a silent segment in one unforgettable routine to honour the BSL community.

According to the publication, when the pair met, Camilla said: "Rose, the Strictly star. I said we were all voting for Rose, I don't know how you did all those dances." Rose then enquired: "Can I ask you, does the Queen watch Strictly Come Dancing ?" "I think she does," Camilla replied. "She probably watched you." Rose was taken aback by the huge compliment. She later said: "It was really funny because she's a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing and she mentioned that she voted for me which is so lovely, and her grandchildren watch it. It is amazing, so lovely. I mean come on, it's the Royal family voting for me, sometimes you forget how many people watch the show, I am mind-blown."
