How to get more Halcyon - Saros

You need to start farming Halcyon if you want to unlock better Armor Alterations in Saros.

Halcyon is a rare upgrade material in Saros that can be quite difficult to farm. This resource seems to drop from very specific places, so it’s worth spending a bit of time replaying certain biomes in order to get a decent supply for your skill tree.

How to get more Halcyon

Halcyon drops from red chests during an Eclipse and sometimes in the tunnels after boss fights. To farm more Halcyon, you should always focus on entering the Eclipse zone during each run and opening any red chests you see. Unfortunately, it’s not a guaranteed drop, so you might need to run an easy cycle numerous times to get a decent supply.

The other way is to defeat bosses. The first time you defeat a boss, you should receive a few Halcyon for your efforts. Again, unfortunately it doesn’t appear as though you can farm the first boss to build up a decent supply.

Because Halcyon is so rare, think carefully about the upgrades you want to buy in the Armor Alterations screen at Primary. Any purple nodes require at least one Halcyon. Some early ones you should focus are Lucenite Saver, which decreases how much of the resource you lose on death, and Restoration Upgrade, which improves the effectiveness of Aether.

It’s going to be worth replaying the Shattered Rise a few times, and even defeating the boss, as the zone has numerous red chests and gets much easier after you grab a few upgrades. You should be able to get a decent way up into the skill tree. Stop by our Saros page for more help with the game.
