How to unlock the Hollower's Guild in Mina the Hollower

The Hollower's Guild provides a great number of upgrades to make your adventure easier. You just have to figure out how to get inside, and we can help.

When you get into Ossex in Mina the Hollower, there’s a Hollower’s Guild right at the front of town, but it’s not quite in working shape. Mina will have to do something about that because the Hollower’s Guild is well worth your time for the helpful bonuses it provides. You have to do a couple things to get it up and running. First, you have to figure out how to get inside, and then you need to save the Hollowers that will help you get back in working order.

How to get inside the Hollower’s Guild

To get inside the Hollower’s Guild, you just need to come at it from the alley to the right of the building. Those boxes can be crushed by jumping the barrier and attacking in mid-air to clear the path. Once inside, an apprentice at the desk will greet you, but it looks sparse otherwise. That’s because you have to burrow and travel under the wall behind the apprentice to get to the real guild. Unfortunately, it’s also a mess. A fellow Hollower is there, Muriel, who will explain that other Hollowers were either kidnapped by rebels or have gone missing. Muriel gives you a clue to where one of them is, Rhene, but Mina will have to go after them herself. Just make sure you grab the Kear from the chest behind Muriel. You’re going to need it.


How to save Rhene

You need to save Rhene from the Rebel Base to get the Hollower's Guild up and running again.

Rhene is located in the Rebel Base in the Southern Outskirts directly South of Ossex. To get there, you must travel straight south from the Ossex City Center, fighting bats along the way. Eventually you will hit a wall with a T-intersection. Go to the west to find a Kear lock and rebel guards who will fight you. Past them a little more to the west is a lock that takes a health vial to open. This is the Rebel Base.

Once inside, you will find Rhene on the other side of jail bars. You have to go through the base and work your way down to the jail to free her. Make sure you save a Vial for when you do because Rhene will need one to heal her wounds so she can follow you. Don’t worry. She will also throw you mostly useful items to help. Just take care because she also sometimes drops bombs and can’t jump over more than a one-space gap without getting scared. Clear the way and lead her out of the Base until you’re outside. She’ll go right back to Ossex on her own.


How to get the Hollower’s Guild running

Once you dig Drillhardt out of a mound in the restored Hollower's Guild, he'll upgrade your checkpoint Underlabs.

Once Rhene is saved, you only need to go back to the Hollower’s Guild to enjoy the initial reward. Rhene and Muriel will clean up the place and expose a mound with curious horns sticking out. Burrow under and pop up from it to free another Hollower, Drillhardt, maybe the most important of them. With the full Guild operational, Drillhardt will sell you upgrades that can be used at every Underlab checkpoint in the game and Rhene will let you redecorate your Underlab’s theme. We suggest buying the Joule Alembic immediately because it refills your Sidearm ammo at every Underlab. You can also finally buy a Map, though it can wait a little bit behind other priorities.
