How to fill Empty Cryo Coolant in Cryo Archive - Marathon

You need Filled Cryo Coolant to open vaults in Cryo Archive, which means you need a place to fill 'em up.

Empty Cryo Coolant containers are scattered all over Cryo Archive. If you want to open a vault, you will need to turn these empties into Filled Cryo Coolant containers. There’s a place you can do this, but expect to meet a lot of resistance.

How to fill Empty Cryo Coolant

Empty Cryo Coolant containers can be filled in the area below the Panopticon in the central Control room. This is a large shaft with a frozen bottom. Bring an Empty Cryo Coolant and a Battery to the center, shoot the green panels to temporarily remove the frost, and then jump down. You can see the exact location of the Cryo Coolant pumps here on Shackmaps. This is the main place to do it, but there are others, like the Cryo Coolant Pump in the spawn room east of Biostock. Most of the rooms should have one of these pumps.

You'll need to take the Empty Cryo Coolant container to the Control room. Good luck.

Look for the battery insert point, slam it in, and then place the Empty Cryo Coolant. It will fill up in a few seconds, at which point you can leave. Each of the vaults requires one Filled Cryo Coolant. Ideally, you’ll only be doing on vault per attempt (unless you’re beyond confident in your team’s ability), so just fill up one container.

The good news is that you’ll be finding Empty Cryo Coolant containers all over the place. Grab one, and then use the rest of your backpack for batteries. The difficult part about all of this will be getting into and out of Control without dying.
