How to solve the Precipice of Echoes plate puzzle in Crimson Desert
Step carefully.
by Aidan O'Brien · ShacknewsThe Precipice of Echoes plate puzzle is just one of dozens of puzzles to solve in Crimson Desert to get access to a Nexus Cresset. These will both give you an artifact to use as a skill point and act as a fast travel point after you solve them, granting a double-whammy of usefulness.
How to solve the Precipice of Echoes plate puzzle in Crimson Desert
The Precipice of Echoes plate puzzle involves finding the correct path through the squares, ensuring you cross all the pre-lit squares in the correct order. There is a lot of trial and error here, so I suggest using the images below and following the paths shown there. To activate the puzzle, just walk onto the one visible glyph, then stand and wait for the puzzle to activate.
Now, you can see the pattern you need to walk for the first section above. You need to start by walking back the way you came, then across the two lit glyphs, down past the starting glyph, and then make your way around. It's not a bad pattern at all, and might just take you one or two tries.
The thing to be mindful of is that you have to step on the correct plate each time; if you step on the wrong one, even an already depressed plate, it will force you to restart the puzzle. All the plates will take on a reddish glow, and you will need to walk off the puzzle completely to reset it. When you reach the end of the above route, the puzzle layout will change. If you misstep, you will need to start right back at the beginning and repeat both sections.
While this route is a bit longer, you still just need to go slow and step carefully. Remember, if you set a foot wrong, it will make you walk off the plates completely and then start all over again. Once you complete the puzzle, grab the artifact from the Abyss Cresset and you will have opened up yet another fast travel point.
