Netflix has released its earnings report for the latest financial quarter, showing investors and spectators how the entertainment company performed over the past few months. Q2 2026 saw Netflix miss the whisper EPS (earnings per share) number and the revenue estimate, and its stock is on the move as a result.

Netflix tallied $12.56 billion in earnings in its Q2 2026 earnings report, narrowly missing the expectation of $12.57 billion. The company’s reported EPS was $0.80/share, which beat the consensus estimate ($0.79/share), but fell short of the whisper number of $0.84/share.

The news hit Netflix stock fairly hard. Shares were valued as low as $68.47 in after-hours trading after ending the day at $74.35.

Netflix also confirmed that it purchased $4.7 billion worth of its own stock during the quarter, the largest single buyback in the company’s history. Stick with Shacknews for more financial news out of the entertainment business.
